IGAEF

IGAEF is a graphic arts news portal. It aggregates news from various other sites and allows manual posting of press releases, white papers and other reference materials.

Posted material is upated daily and RSS based material is updated several times a day.

The site was commissioned in 2006 to be an information service for editors working in the graphic arts press. Origianally it was a membership only service and catered to a user base of 550. Later it was deemed that membership was not necessary, and we converted the site into the public news portal it is today. Content is primarily text, links and images, but facilities for handling video and audio are built in.

The theme, though spartan, was developed to facilitate placing as many news headlines on the front page as possible, thereby allowing the user to skim everything at a glance.

The site was administrated by Squidworld until early 2011, when the business was acquired by another company. As a result, the site is no longer live, but you can browse the images below to get a basic idea.
